If any of your wives/better halves are like mine you have no doubt incurred her wrath when feathers and furs are over flowing off the dining room table. This
has now happened a few too many times and my wife has "laid down the law"...I am to find a new place to tie flies. I would thus like to hear where
you guys tie and if you have pics of your stations that would also be appreciated.

I tie wherever I can, which lately hasn't been much...
I tie mostly in front of the TV on a TV tray!

My wife and I bought a new house a couple of years ago. She was ready to banish me to the garage for my rod building and fly tying before the move so while we
were doing the "required" new furniture shopping for the new house I found this armoir. I matches the rest of our furniture and provides a great
place to tie. When I'm done for the day, I just close the doors to protect my valuables from the grandkids.

We just bought a new house and I have a few extra options for places to tie. I chose the well lit extra bedroom to hide my stuff in. My wife ensures that the
room is "stylish" so she contributes fun decorations and calendars that feed my addiction to fly fishing.
Here's my corner of the office: 
I am looking for a larger desk. One that I can really spread out on. If you look closely you can see where I am a bit of a "frugal fisherman/tyer." |

Yeah, depending on how you look at it, Wal-Mart is good or bad! For me, it is good and cheap
The cross-stitch hoop is what keeps my "trash can" open. A Cabela's bag today, perhaps a Wally World bag tomorrow. I also got the spool holder at Wal-Mart (cheaper than the craft stores). Remember, what happens in the craft section, stays in the craft section 
In addition, I have 3 - $2 bead storage bins that I have drilled holes in for dubbing dispensers. Also in the drawer, old film canisters hold my chenille and can dispense it out of the top (the "perks" of working in pharmacy - pill bottles and film canisters). |

Mine is portable a banished to the closet. I pull all my tying materials vice and tools out and tie. Les
