I am Andy, and I fish mostly lakes and creeks in Kansas, just south of Lawrence, actually. Most of my fish are bluegill and bass, with the occasional longear
sunfish and rainbow trout.

My name is Mike, known to most as "Mikey". For my UL fly fishing, I mainly fish ponds/small lakes & streams/small rivers. My favorite target is
large bluegill, redear & other sunfish. I also fish for brook, brown, & rainbow trout, and occasionally crappie & bass.

My name is Jeremy, AKA J. I live in NE Ohio and I fish in a creek that boarders my back yard, and a few local reservoirs. I fish for sunfish species mostly, I
find them fascinating. I also fish with Mikey, he always puts me on trophy gills. Thanks Mikey.

My name is Jim and I fish where the mood strikes.....that's not to be a smart-aleck, but I live in southern New Jersey (Gloucester County) and there are
many lakes, ponds and impoundments within 15-40 minutes from me. My go-to lake (shown in my Slideshow) is 18 minutes from me. So, although I don't have
the trout experience often; although there are a number of waters that are trout stocked, but they're usually "gone in 60 seconds" (pun
intended). Not a problem though, the bass and pickerel gobble them up and get nice and large for the fly rod!
Most of the lakes are big and you really should spend the day to cover them. One in particular, Willow Grove Lake, is owned by the Nature Conservancy and charges a fee to use but it's worth it as bass and bluegill are voracious and plentiful! Jim |

My name is Gary. I live in East Tennessee, just outside of the Smoky Mtns Nat. Park and I fish a lot of the parks stream for wild rainbow, brown and brook
trout. I prefer to fish for Smallmouth and other sunfish in the lower elevation freestones that flow from the mtns. I have several tailwater rivers to float in
my toon for both trout and warm water species as well as a few buddies that I'll hitch a ride in their driftboats from time to time. I used to fish the
area lakes, but they have become so overun with jetskiers and bass tourneys that its hard to enjoy fishing them anymore.

Gary, SMNP is on my bucket list. I would love to come fish Hazel Creek for some of the ten pound browns that inhabit it.

Name is Brian fish mostly ponds and lagoons with my UL rods fish for gills and crappie and bass. I have introduced my 4yr old daughter to fly tying and fishing
and she has taken to it for now so it's nice to have a fishing buddy. But this spring and summer I will take the 2-3wts to Rocky River which is about
5minutes from my house. There are alot of smallmouth in there and I have fished for them for years with 4-6wts but often it feels like overkill.. just need to
make sure the steelhead have left for Lake Erie.

All,
My name is Les and I fish anywhere the is water- ditches, creeks, fast water or slack water- you name it. Here in north Texas, I am lucky to have access to plenty of good creeks loaded with sunfish and LMB, and I fish them as often and as randomly as possible. While I have been known to pick up some short 7 1/2 glass rods for some large bass in these creeks, I still target the creek species with UL fly rods. I don't own a 000 Sage, but have had the pleasure to thow one on water to target trout.
My go- to rods are 1 TFO signature series 6' 2WT-2 piece 1 TFO Pro series 8'6" 3WT-4 piece 1 sage 893 3WT 8'9" 3 piece 1 orvis TLS 2 WT 8' 4" 2 piece 1 cabelas Clear Creek 1WT 7 footer 1 Lamiglas 6'6" 6 piece 3WT ( I love this rod) Les

I'm Dennis I dont care what people call me as long as its not late for fishing , a cold beer or a good cigar & bs with friends. A lot of my fishing is
on the Shenandoah here in Va. I also hit the creeks to chase trout. There are a lot of lakes fairly close I have been hitting. I did find one that the state
stocked with hybred bluegills. I will be hitting that one hard this spring. A 2lb gill on a 1 or 3 wt got to be good

Hi, I'm Highlander, and it's been 3 hours since I last used my 000. I'm a hopelessly addicted small stream and ultralight rod user. Now
that's not to say that I don't throw some bigger sticks from time to time, but given my druthers, I'll stick to the real lightweight stuff.
I live in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia (near Vancouver) and fish mostly for rainbows, dollies, bulls, coastal cutties and westslopes. Peamouth Chub and NPM's (Northern Pikeminnows, aka Squawfish) have also fallen victim to my ultralight rods. I've got a few ultralight rods in my arsenal. Sage 000-wt TXL Sage 0-wt SLT (or is that SPL - I get them confused) St. Croix Legend Ultra 2-wt St. Croix Imperial 3-wt No-name brand bamboo 3-wt I use them all, but the 000 is may favourite. Landed a nice 18" Westslope with it this summer. |

I would love to toss one of those 000wts...yet most fly fishermen swear that you can't land a big fish on an UL rod without killing it. I am a die hard UL
fisherman, and refuse to own a rod heavier than a 4wt.
