Les, you left out the option of " whenever I feel like it" for folks like me.

J,
That's the one that belongs in a category by itself ;) |

I voted weekends only because after work on Friday and weekends wasn't an option.

You should set it up so you can select multiple answers.
I fish before, during, and after work, on vacations, and on Saturdays. :-) I fish nearby the majority of the time, but I search out new spots all over the state on days off, and out of state during some of my vacations. |

I didn't think it through when I set this poll in motion. But the replys allow us to be more specific.

I usually fish early in the AM......I wake up....get a cup of coffee......walk out the back door......step onto my boat.......crank her up and put-put out into
the early morning haze. Casting is my yoga. Getting tangled in the trees teaches me patience. I used to watch the news and get pissed off! dont do that
anymore.....

Pretty much only have one day in the week that is unoccupied with any sort of official job. But that day gets eaten up with familial duties. So I basically
have been a non-fishing sort. I still hope to find some remedy. My son's annual school picnic is at Andy Brown Park - I intend to spend as much time as I
can pounding that pond with my one weight! :)

I checked "after work" - and I do occasionally put some time in after my day has ended while I'm "on shift", as we have a decent little
river flowing through town that hosts a run of Salmon in the fall, Steelhead in the winter, and Cutthroat all year long.
However, I work a three weeks on / three weeks off schedule (payed through the off cycle as well as the on) - so "after work" means three weeks at leisure - to fish any morning, day or night I please. In addition, I've managed to bank three patrols off through annuals and banked overtime, this year - in fact this will be my last patrol before taking one off - so that means a 9 weeks stretch off (payed) for each patrol I book off - woo hoo! If it sounds like the best schedule you've ever heard of - you wouldn't be far wrong - its the next best thing to being retired. I have a ton of fishing trips planned for this 9 weeks off, coming up (2 weeks chasing outsized Rainbows in the provinces interior, some early prospecting for Summer Run Steelhead, as well as plenty of days on my favorite little UL river in the center of the Island). I'll have plenty of reports and pics to post shortly! |

Usually fish after work with the kids at the local urban ponds. Then try to get away to the Arizona mountains on the weekends.

Well for me I do not fish on any particular day. I try to hit the water as much as possible. Last year I was lucky enough to fish on average every eight days.
Generally I try to get to the creek, river, etc. just before sun up and will stay until sundown. Unless I am fishing an
area where I have to hike into.
