Several months ago I traded a fishing DVD to a pretty nice guy in Montana for a dozen Potts Hair Hackle Wets which I had never used (or seen) before. They
look pretty cool but I never really had a chance to try them out. While I was going through some gear last night I came across the flies and threw a few in my
car fly box.
Today I went out and the fish just weren't doing much. I tried several flies and finally tied on one of these Potts Hair Hackles. Within just a few minutes I caught several decent little bass including another one a little over 16". I was using my Sage TXL 00 wt--trying out short casts with a 0 wt line I just got from CC. It worked great.

- The TXL 00 wt works well with both 00 wt and 0 wt lines
- The TXL just generally rocks!
- My reel did *not* fall off the reel seat today
