hi there..I'm new to ur group, however, looking for advice in how I should go about making a two piece rod out of a single piece graphite blank of 79".
It was the top section of a former 10 1/2', in which it had it's dermis, when it took on a king salmon of over 40lbs.+ in a river, the butt section
actually exploded!
..thank you, Wolfie.
..thank you, Wolfie.

..now that's a good point..and then if I added a
piece to the butt, it would still be in the ultra light class, but a very fast action fly rod. And that won't be a bad thing for me..pretty well all of my
rods are 'fast tip', except the Scottie. Even my Spey rod is of fast action, and that is only my preference. Here in my city, there are 2 rivers and
one the Elbow is ideal for either UL rod, good width and high light over head cover, with browns, rainbows, and rockie mountain whitefish up to 3lbs. Thanks
again m8.......Wolfie
