I have a Walton Powell 9'6" graphite 5wt. The faded writing on it says" Sig. Sil" It feels like a 9'6" fiberglass rod....limber and
sloooowww! I'm guessing it's from the 70/80's by the hardware. It's charcoal with green silk wraps, and has a short full wells grip. Does
anybody know about this rod? Any info would be appreciated. Yesterday I tested it out in the salt and went 2 for 3 (resident silver salmon). I used a Martin
67SS- A, I need a fish bigger than 13" to really test it.

While I don't have the answer to your questions about a Walton Powell graphite rod, The Powell fiberglass rods were know for their parobolic actions and much revered by glass guys. If you don't get the answers that you are looking for here, try asking the question here. Doug |
